The Credentialed Veterinary Technician is responsible for carrying out or overseeing patient and client-related duties often delegated by veterinarians. These include advanced nursing care of patients, diagnostic procedures, client education and service, and internal team communications. Credentialed Veterinary Technicians aid veterinarians by increasing efficiency and relieving them of technical work and administrative detail. CVT II are also able to assist with anesthetic procedures, including surgery and dentistry.

For the CVT role, it requires that you have an AS or BS in Veterinary Technology/Nursing.

Appropriate state licensing is required.

Whether you are a CVT or VT

  • Intermediate computer and software skills required, including: Word, Outlook, and other office management systems and software.
  • Previous customer service experience desired.
  • Previous veterinary experience required.
  • Must show accountability.
  • Demonstrates adaptability in times of change and resiliency when faced with challenges or setbacks.
  • Applies strong listening and communication skills.
  • Shows confidence in decision making and problem solving.
  • Has strong attention to detail.
  • Possesses eagerness to teach and willingness to learn.
