Job summary

Chagrin Animal Clinic is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a full-service animal hospital in Chagrin Falls, OH. You will support veterinarians in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, laboratory work, patient care, and client education.

Ideal candidates are licensed technicians, capable of lifting patients, with strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to pet care. Exceptional teamwork and professionalism are expected in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold active state license to work as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; assist with heavier lifts with help.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks and veterinary practice software.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in veterinary medicine and surgery.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs intraoperatively.
• Collect blood, stool and other samples; perform in-hospital lab tests and prep specimens for external labs.
• Obtain radiographs following safety procedures and maintain equipment.
• Handle and restrain animals during exams; administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and assist team to keep areas organized.
• Demonstrate warmth, courtesy, and professionalism with clients and patients.
• Communicate effectively with veterinarians and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
