Job summary

HID Global is seeking a Credential Development Engineer to research, develop, validate, and industrialize new credential products and technologies in Austin, Texas. You will lead hands-on development, experimental design, and manufacturing readiness while aligning with customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering/technical field.
• 5+ years in product development, process development, manufacturing engineering, R&D, or related roles.
• Experience moving products from concept to commercialization including validation and production.
• Ability to design, execute and analyze experiments for products, materials, or processes.
• Knowledge of quality systems, process validation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement new credential products, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
• Design and run experiments to evaluate materials, technologies and product concepts.
• Translate customer and market needs into manufacturable, scalable solutions.
• Establish product specs, validation plans, and manufacturing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with HID/ISO standards and mitigate risks.
• Support product industrialization, pilot builds, and production rollout.
• Document development activities and test results.
