Job summary

Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute is seeking an Activity Therapist to join our interdisciplinary treatment team. You will provide therapeutic recreational and activity services to patients of varying ages and conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans using AT theory for individuals, families or groups.

This role requires collaboration with physicians and staff, conducting individual and group therapies, documenting progress, and ensuring safety and compliance with hospital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of therapy-related experience; inpatient psychiatric preferred.
• CPR certification required; management of aggressive behavior training compliance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in formulation of patient's treatment plans with goals and objectives.
• Monitor and document patient progress in group and individual sessions.
• Conduct individual therapy with patients and lead group therapies as assigned.
• Coordinate with doctors, case managers and nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain safety, infection control and facility policy compliance.
