Job summary
Global Textile Alliance seeks a skilled Textiles & Surface Designer to develop original artwork for woven and knit bedding and home textiles. You will bridge artistic creativity with technical textile knowledge to translate concepts into production-ready designs.
The role requires a strong portfolio, 3+ years in related design fields, and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, with experience in color theory and pattern development.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional design experience (textiles/surface/print).
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or related field preferred.
- Strong portfolio showing original artwork, surface patterns, and color development.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (Creative Cloud).
- Solid understanding of color theory, pattern development, and production-ready files.
Responsibilities
- Create original artwork, prints, patterns, and surface designs for home textiles.
- Develop concepts from briefs, trends, and business goals.
- Refine colorways, repeats, scales, and placements for woven and knit products.
- Adapt existing or licensed artwork into new design concepts.
- Produce production-ready digital artwork using Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Create 2D and 3D textile renderings with software like 3DGO or EAT.
