Surface Experts is seeking a Field Technician in the Kansas City area to repair small interior surface damages, including countertops, cabinets, and appliances. You will build relationships with customers, educate them on services, and expand sales opportunities.

You will work with a creative team to match colors, perform 4+ repairs daily, and use our unique 5-step repair process. A strong eye for detail and customer-focused mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be able to see, distinguish, and replicate colors.
• Hands-on experience doing some form of creative or manual work.
• Attention to detail.
• Commitment to quality work within expected timelines.
• Proven motivation to provide excellent customer service.

• Licensed to operate a passenger car and have a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds, climb stairs, and kneel frequently and for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team to collaborate and reach goals.
• Your talent with color is vital in matching colors and patterns for complex repairs.
• Every repair has a different design, sheen, and material, so creativity is a must.
• Perform work on-location within the Kansas City area (primarily northland and downtown).
• Complete 4 or more creative repairs each day.
• Problem-solve with repairs in various settings like apartments, construction sites, hotels, etc.
• Treat residents and staff with exceptional customer service.
• Communicate frequently with the team via chats and a mobile app.
• Identify additional opportunities and educate customers on available services.
• Learn and integrate the 5-step repair process and master tools in the kit.
• Flex artistic talents - each repair requires a unique solution.
