Job summary

Straub Collaborative, a creative production studio for ecommerce visuals, seeks a Controller to own the accounting function across its entities. You will lead the monthly close, ensure strong controls, and report to the CFO, turning insights into confident business decisions.

You will supervise accounting staff, enhance processes, and drive accurate financial information for strategic planning. A collaborative, fast-paced environment with cross‑entity work awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• At least five years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a controller/manager role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and close processes; solid internal controls.
• Hands-on experience with payroll, AP, reconciliations; supervision of staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close and deliver accurate financial statements and variance analyses for CFO review.
• Maintain rolling cash forecast and annual budget.
• Record payroll entries and reconcile payroll liabilities.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations by accounting staff.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting processes and internal controls within CFO limits.
• Coordinate external audits and be primary contact for auditors.
• Manage accounting for affiliated entities with consistent policies.
• Develop and mentor accounting staff; collaborate on hiring and performance.
