Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking a Student Hourly Social Media Marketing Intern to manage and create content for multiple Academic Success units. You’ll develop engagement strategies, assist with campaigns, and participate in live social media coverage while collaborating with the Digital Media team.

Ideal candidates are comfortable on camera, able to meet deadlines, and ready to work both in-office and on-location.

Qualifications

• Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite as evidenced in application materials.
• Strong communication skills demonstrated in application materials.
• Experience in creative/innovative strategical thinking for short- and long-term campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, create and curate day-to-day content for multiple units' social channels.
• Develop and execute student engagement strategies across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn).
• Assist in marketing campaigns for Academic Success initiatives and events.
• Support in-person marketing events and tabling opportunities.
• Capture live footage at departmental events for social media (Facebook/Instagram Live or YouTube Live).
• Collaborate with Digital Media team to refine marketing strategies and branding.
