Job summary

Penn State University’s Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications seeks a Part-Time Strategic Communications Intern with interests in photography, social media, video or writing.

This paid internship offers opportunities to craft stories for internal and external audiences, develop design skills, and support brand materials. Ideal candidates are communications majors with strong writing and storytelling abilities, familiar with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, and able to work 5–10 hours

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Deadline- and detail-oriented with multitasking ability.
• Self-motivated and able to take direction and constructive criticism.
• Conceptual thinker able to mold rough strategy into visually appealing design.
• Writing for marketing and familiarity with photography.
• Experience with design software, specifically InDesign and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Assist with event support and storytelling to promote the Bellisario College.
• Complete independent assignments to chronicle events with photography or social media.
• Collaborate to create and maintain brand materials and promotional items.
• Support brochures, digital signage, fliers and posters and other publications.
