Job summary

Unidine, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking a Sous Chef in Wilmington, DE to supervise and participate in the preparation and service of food and beverages, ensuring presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.

You will support kitchen leadership in the absence of the Executive Chef, assist with menu planning and ordering, and ensure timely service across service areas, while upholding company standards and guest satisfaction.

• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items while meeting standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
• Assumes responsibility for kitchen in absence of Executive Chef.
• Communicates with customers to describe menu preparation and resolve concerns; relays customer comments to appropriate teams.
• Helps with menu planning and ordering following company programs and initiatives.
• Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality, temperatures and portions.
• Assigns duties to associates to ensure efficient kitchen operation and timely service.
