Job summary

Artisanal Brewing Ventures seeks an energetic Sous Chef for the Buffalo, NY Southern Tier Taproom. You will lead line readiness, supervise BOH staff, and ensure quality in every plate.

You will collaborate with Executive Chef to craft menus, pair foods with our beer platform, and manage inventory and safety. A minimum of 2 years in restaurant operations and Serve Safe certification are required; the role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of restaurant industry experience.
• Serve Safe Certified.
• Strong knowledge of craft beer and food pairings.
• Clear communication with managers and staff; ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily lineups, cleaning, cooking and line set schedules under direction of Exec Chef and GM.
• Oversee training and hiring to support a strong work ethic and culture.
• Develop menus with the Exec Chef for weekly specials and events, including beer pairings.
• Manage inventory and open/close procedures of the restaurant.
• Address customer complaints per company policy and ensure safety compliance.
