Southern Tier Brewing Company, part of Artisanal Brewing Ventures, is hiring an energetic Sous Chef to join our Buffalo, NY kitchen team. You will help lead daily lineups, menus, and event prep while aligning with our craft beer-focused dining concept.

Salary ranges from $55,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience. We value teamwork, food safety, and creativity in pairing dishes with our beer platform.

Qualifications

• 2+ years restaurant industry experience
• Serve Safe Certified
• Strong knowledge of craft beer and beer in cooking
• Clear communication with staff and managers
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Flexible work schedule in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily lineups, cleaning, cooking and line set schedules as directed by Executive Chef and GM
• Oversee training and hiring processes
• Develop culinary menus for weekly features, private events, and occasional special events
• Pair beverages with menu design and seasonal releases
• Manage back-of-house staff as a role model and supervisor
• Open/close restaurant as scheduled
• Inventor y management and supplies procurement, address customer complaints per policy
• Follow restaurant safety procedures and serve as safety manager
