Job summary

Surface Experts of San Francisco North is hiring a tech to focus on our growing low-impact bathtub and sink refinishing business, while apprenticing to learn spot repair techniques for the broader company.

We do not spray refinishing glaze; our roll-on method minimizes impact to units, residents, and technicians. Responsibilities include prep, glaze application, re-caulking, and delivering a better space after work.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently, driving to job locations and coordinating with property teams.
• Some experience in services/trades and a strong health-conscious mindset.
• Strong English language skills for communication and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tubs by cleaning, removing old caulking, and sanding.
• Apply glaze, re-caulk, and leave spaces improved after work.
• Typical jobs take about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete each unit.

Surface Experts of San Francisco North is hiring a tech to focus on our growing low-impact bathtub and sink refinishing business, in addition to apprenticing to learn many of our spot repair techniques to support the broader business.

We DO NOT spray refinishing glaze. Our roll-on method minimizes the impact to the unit, resident and the technician.

Responsibilities include preparing tubs (light cleaning, removing old caulking, sanding away flaking glaze, masking) applying glaze, re-caulking, and leaving the space better than we found it. Most tubs take between and 2.5 and 3 hours to complete.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to work independently - driving to job locations, meeting with property maintenance teams, and performing work.

Some experience in services/trades

Strong English language speaker

Comfortable wearing a respirator mask for extended periods

Attention to detail and service minded

Licensed to operate a passenger car and have a clean driving record

Ability to lift 30 pounds, climb stairs, and kneel.

Preferred Qualifications: .

Experience working with your hands (professional or hobby) including maintenance, construction, artists, trades, restoration, and home projects.

Experience working in facilities maintenance is a big plus.
