Job summary

Surface Experts is seeking a field technician to repair baths and related fixtures, traveling to sites and delivering quality workmanship. You will repair tubs using knowledge of fiberglass, gel coat, enameled steel and acrylic, while providing excellent customer service to property managers and tenants.

Qualifications

• Experience working with your hands in construction, manufacturing, painting, or hobbies.
• Facilities maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to identify, compare and recreate colors; color matching matters.
• Willingness to commit to learning a skill that may take months to master.

Responsibilities

• On the jobsite for 5+ customers per day.
• On-site work orders, customer service, and follow-ups.
• Work with a variety of customers across industries like Property Management, Hotels, Movers, Builders.
• Provide world-class customer service to tenants and property management staff.
• Track work progress and notes in our CRM/Dispatch tool.
• Communicate with support team with questions.
• Understand and utilize our 5-step repair process.
• Employ tools from your kit and problem-solve repairs with creativity.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

In the Field Daily

• On the jobsite for 5+ customers per day
• On-site Work Orders, customer service, and follow-ups
• Working for a variety of customers in different industries including Property Management, Hotels, Movers, Builders, etc.

Customer Service and Communication

• Display world-class customer service for tenants and property management staff
• Track work progress and notes in our CRM/Dispatch tool

Follow Repair Process

• Understand and utilize our unique 5-step repair process
• Employ each tool in your custom tool-kit
• Problem-solve repairs with creativity

We are looking for someone who has experience in either the process of fabricating or installing bathtubs. You will use your knowledge of common tub building materials: fiberglass, gel coat, enameled steel and acrylic. We repair damages to tubs that happen during or after installation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with your hands - This could be in construction, manufacturing, painting, or even a personal hobby
• Experience working in facilities maintenance can be a big plus, but is not required
• An ability to identify, compare, and recreate colors - Understanding color and how to match color is a large part of what we do. An art background is helpful, but not necessary.
• Willingness to commit to learning a skill that may take months to master.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 30 pounds or more on a regular basis.
• Ability to walk, sit, climb stairs and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to wear a respirator for multiple hours each day.
