Job summary

KIRO TV, part of Cox Media Group, is seeking a Promotions Producer (Part-Time) in Seattle to write, shoot and produce topicals, promos and branded content.

You will edit, collaborate with sales and client services, and create multi-platform campaigns for streaming, digital and social channels, while meeting tight deadlines.

This role rewards creativity, versatility and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Creative Services or newsroom at a television station.
• Hands-on experience with a local news product.
• Creative writer, photographer and video editor.
• Experience in graphic design for promos maximizing effectiveness of graphic elements.
• Flexible hours to meet high volume demands.
• Willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines.
• Avid, Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop experience; videography.
• Prefer experience using iNews and WideOrbit.

Responsibilities

• Write and Produce daily news topicals in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment.
• Write, shoot and produce Investigative Special Report Promos and POBs and Image promos.
• Write, shoot and produce PSAs, station sponsored events, sales promotions, and syndicated promotions.
• Assist Client Services in the writing/producing of commercials, and other sales projects when necessary.
• Produce compelling, targeted, and research driven promotion at all times.
• Embrace the use of process language, and sell brand distinction in Topicals, Special Report and Image Promotion.
• Create multi-platform marketing campaigns developing creative for streaming, digital and social channels.
