Job summary

TED is seeking a Project Manager to drive multiple, concurrent creative projects within Brand Creative, coordinating with internal teams, freelancers, and external partners. You will be the main link between Brand Creative and TED, ensuring design, illustration, and motion graphics work moves smoothly and on schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing end-to-end creative processes.
• Knowledge of the creative workflow across design, branding, photography, motion graphics, and illustration.
• Proactive and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong time-management and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Proficient with Airtable, Google Suite, and Dropbox; familiarity with Adobe CC and Figma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape project strategy and prioritize work with team leadership.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and workflows.
• Maintain a prioritized project schedule accounting for capacity.
• Lead regular status check-ins with team and stakeholders.
• Turn ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable plans.
• Write briefs covering stakeholders, audience, goals, timeline, and budget.
• Build agendas to run efficient meetings.
• Advocate for the team’s perspective while setting expectations.
• Coordinate with freelancers and vendors to scale capacity.
• Plan ahead for busy periods and track change requests.
• Spot and defuse risks to timelines before they occur.
• Run debriefs after major projects to identify wins and learnings.
