Job summary

STooPS Art & Community in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Creative Producer to bring programs to life from concept to day-of execution. You will manage logistics, budgets, production teams, and community partnerships that make events possible.

This role blends creative vision with operational detail: dream up events with artists in one meeting, then negotiate equipment rentals the next. Part-time hybrid arrangement with some in-person meetings.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience producing events, public programs, or art/cultural programming.
• Strong budgeting and vendor/contract management skills.
• Comfort hiring, briefing, and managing freelance production staff.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with community engagement.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple moving pieces.
• Familiarity with Bed-Stuy/Brooklyn arts scene is a plus.
• Collaborative, low-ego working style; able to lead logistics or support others' vision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Founder/Director to shape the creative vision and logistical plan for all programming.
• Lead monthly brainstorms on logistical considerations for proposed events, including artist spaces and equipment needs.
• Suggest artists based on organizational values and budget considerations.
• Assess artists' supply, audio/visual, technical, and space requirements.
• Manage relationships and logistics for Educational workshops and programs.
• Master Production schedule and timeline; Run of Show; Event logistics and planning.
• Hire and manage day-of consultants including production/stage managers and liaisons.
• Hire and manage the broader production team.
• Source and rent technical equipment based on budget and venue feasibility.
• Build relationships with community entities and partners and secure collaborators.
