Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Nashville, TN seeks a part-time Event Host to plan and coordinate events in-store, including kids' birthday parties and crafts classes, ensuring a fun, engaging guest experience.

You will help customers shop, provide friendly checkout, enroll them in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, and support BOPIS/SFS operations while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and nonverbal) and listening abilities.
• Organizational, interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and other crafts classes or events.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in crafts; face painting and activities.
• Facilitate add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions; assist with checkout and Rewards enrollment.
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS) and store operations; assist with stock and cleanliness.
