Job summary

Michaels Stores in Mana--hakin, NJ is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan and execute customer events and children's parties within the store. You will engage guests, demonstrate crafts, and guide participants through activities while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating goody bags, balloons, and add-ons, handling emails and calls, and supporting omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS as needed. A friendly, helpful demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Experience handling events or children’s parties is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events within the Michaels store.
• Engage with clients of all ages and ensure a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate crafts, face painting, and activity guidance during events.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks and adjust plans based on feedback.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and SOPs during events.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production when needed.
