Job Overview

Summary: The employee in this position is responsible for photographing, filming, editing, and delivering multi-media graphic/video content for both internal and external customers in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consults with internal stakeholders to determine media production needs and advises on development and design of media presentation.
  • Develops project goals, objectives, and timetables for production and post-production.
  • Creates and edits scripts and storyboards with the communications team, customers, and management, considering the audience and purpose.
  • Manages all phases of production, editing video and photo projects while maintaining brand identity.
  • Operates various production equipment (cameras, audio/video recorders, lighting, props, microphones) for location and studio shoots.
  • Edits and assembles final visual/audio content, ensuring quality and relevancy.
  • Converts media content into various formats for distribution.
  • Researches, maintains, and tests audio and visual equipment and software for quality assurance.
  • Conducts on-camera interviews, including research and talent direction.
  • Stays updated on new media production products, applications, and systems.
  • Ensures all content complies with copyright laws and ADA standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Video and Film Production, Media Studies, Visual Arts, or related fields.
  • Experience in digital media production, video communication, broadcasting, or operating video and photographic equipment with editing software.

Knowledge And Abilities

  • Ability to tactfully interact with customers, exercise sound judgment, communicate ideas clearly, and document work.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and support team efforts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and deadline management.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective planning, flexibility, and a sense of urgency.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel statewide, including overnight trips.
