Jefferson RISE Charter School in Harvey, LA seeks a dynamic Media Arts Teacher for grades 6-12. You will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction across photography, videography, graphic design, and digital animation, building strong relationships with students and families.

The role emphasizes collaboration with instructional coaches, differentiation for all learners, and ongoing professional growth to support student achievement in a 10-month schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; content area cert preferred.
• Proven record of student achievement and growth in media arts.
• Strong command of Tier I instructional practices and evidence-based strategies.
• Ability to analyze data and translate findings into instructional decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Tier I instruction grounded in evidence-based strategies.
• Facilitate media arts instruction including photography, videography, graphic design, and digital animation.
• Monitor student understanding and differentiate instruction to include all skill levels.
• Provide feedback aligned to targets and growth, and maintain safe equipment use.
• Collaborate with teams and support IEPs/BIPs, PLCs, and school initiatives; mentor peers and tutor after school weekly.
