Job summary

The Forge Kitchen & Parlor by Shaner Group in Neenah, WI is seeking a line cook to prepare and plate menu items to hotel standards, assist with department budgets and cost controls, and maintain clean, safe kitchen operations.

Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, show attention to detail and creativity, and have a high school diploma or equivalent (culinary certification and safety training preferred).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a line cook or relevant role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification and food safety certification preferred.
• In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition. Safe food handling certificate preferred.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers clearly.
• Physical strength to stand for long hours and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in the designated outlets in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
