Job summary

SBT Global, Inc. seeks a creative Junior Product Designer to bring fresh ideas to plush toys and character-based consumer products, from concept through production. You will join the Brand Teams and collaborate with product development and design teams to develop concepts, artwork, and production-ready designs.

This role suits a designer with 2–3 years of experience, strong foundation in graphic/product design, and an eagerness to grow in the toy and consumer products industry.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in Graphic Design, Product Design, Toy Design, or a related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating design process and production-ready work.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related field (Graphic Design, Toy Design, Digital Media).
• Experience with plush toys or consumer products preferred.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Product Concept & Design Development: Develop creative concepts for new plush toys and character-based products; brainstorm with teams; create sketches, color variations, 2D artwork, and mockups.
• Production & Technical Design: Create vectorized artwork and production files; prepare specs and references; assist with material and finish selection; review samples for consistency.
• Market & Trend Research: Research trends in toys, plush, collectibles and consumer products; monitor competitors; apply trends while maintaining brand identity.
• Project Coordination: Manage design tasks and deadlines; maintain project files and documentation; collaborate with product development, marketing, QA; communicate changes clearly.
• Product Development & Manufacturing: Understand US toy safety requirements; consider manufacturing needs; assist in resolving production issues.
