Job summary

Aramark is seeking a cook to join our kitchen team in an on-site environment. You’ll prepare a variety of dishes, follow standardized recipes, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

You’ll set up stations, measure and prep ingredients, and operate kitchen equipment while ensuring quality, portion control, and timely service. Strong math and communication skills are essential, with a certification in food safety preferred or required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role
• Knowledge of basic food preparation methods and food safety regulations
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of dishes according to recipes and guidelines
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling food
• Safely uses knives and other utensils
• Operates ovens, stoves, mixers, and other kitchen equipment
• Bakes, roasts, steams, and uses multiple cooking methods
• Garnishes and portions foods per guidelines
• Stores food safely according to policies
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment
• Maintains positive customer service attitudes toward guests and coworkers
