The Auditorium at Roosevelt University Chicago seeks a Creative Engagement Associate to provide administrative support for Hearts to Art, ArtsXChange, Admit One, Student Matinee Series, and Dance Series Master Classes. The role also acts as an ambassador, promoting programs to patrons and communities.

  • Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting groups to participate in Admit One program.
  • Provide support for Student Matinee Series.
  • Assist with hosting for Dance Master Classes.
  • Assist in the promotion and planning of Hearts to Art.
  • Participate in trauma informed and supporting grieving youth trainings and developments.
  • Act as Assistant Camp Director for HTA.
  • Supervise and support HTA staff.
  • Provide supervision and support to HTA campers.
  • Plan and organize camp performances and memorial.
  • Assist in the organization and execution of HTA Reunions.
  • Provide support for post-event wrap up.
  • Assist in the promotion and coordination of ArtsXChange year-long program.
  • Mentor at least one teacher participating in ArtsXChange program.
  • Assist in hosting and leading AXC Professional Developments.
  • Greet and welcome Admit One guests to The Auditorium.
  • Provide support to Development Department at fundraising events as needed.
  • Represent The Auditorium and Creative Engagement at events as needed.

Job description

The Creative Engagement Associate will provide administrative support for The Auditorium’s Creative Engagement Programs including: Hearts to Art, ArtsXChange, Admit One, Student Matinee Series, and our Dance Series Master Classes, while acting as an ambassador of the theatre.

As a member of the Creative Engagement Team, the Creative Engagement Associate regularly attends performances, Creative Engagement program events, visits schools, works with teachers participating in ArtsXChange, and families in the Hearts to Art camp community. They engage with Auditorium patrons to promote and increase awareness of the Creative Engagement programs.

This full-time, exempt position is ideal for an individual seeking hands-on experience in arts education and arts administration.

The salary range for this position is $37,000-$48,000

Administrative Duties
  • Provide database support for all Creative Engagement activities
  • Build HTA registration database in CampDocs
  • Manage enrolling camp applicants in CampDocs
  • Assist with hiring, training, and development of all Teaching Artist and Camp Staff
  • Create and manage daily camp schedule
  • Work with the Director of Creative Engagement to ensure that all budget items are recorded and reconciled with accounting records and provide reports as necessary
  • Assist in maintaining an up to date record of all Creative Engagement Activities in Events Chart
  • Manage Creative Engagement email and phone inquiries
  • General HTA promotion and outreach
Communications
  • Work with the marketing department to ensure that all Creative Engagement Programs are properly listed on our website
  • Work with marketing department to provide social media support for Creative Engagement Programs
  • Assist the Director of Creative Engagement with the creation of printed and digital collateral material
  • Organize and archive Auditorium event information and collateral to be used for Development wrap-up reports
  • Create monthly HTA newsletters
  • Support ArtsXChange communications
  • Provide support for caregiver communication during camp
  • Assist with HTA staff and caregiver orientation
