The Marketing team is hiring for a Creative Director.

Cboe is seeking a visionary Creative Director to lead the development and execution of our visual strategy. In this pivotal role, you will shape and manage Cboe’s visual identity across internal and external channels—spanning digital, print, web, and every brand expression in between. Reporting to the VP of Brand and Corporate Marketing, you will oversee a team of talented graphic designers, working collaboratively across departments and geographies to deliver innovative and impactful creative solutions.

The Creative Director will champion brand consistency, clarity, and excellence in every touchpoint, ensuring that Cboe’s brand principles are brought to life in dynamic and meaningful ways.

Your responsibilities will be:

  1. Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of designers through thoughtful guidance, regular design reviews, and individual development opportunities.
  2. Oversee team operations, including hiring, workload management, performance evaluations, and career development planning, to foster a high-performing and growth-oriented team.
  3. Develop and implement best-in-class creative vision that aligns with business objectives, brand identity and industry trends.
  4. Lead the end-to-end creative process, from ideation to execution, ensuring deliverables are innovative, on-brand, and resonate with the intended audience.
  5. Champion consistency, clarity and excellence. Guide and maintain the integrity of the company’s visual identity, ensuring consistency and quality across all channels and brand expressions.
  6. Partner with product marketing and UX teams to create optimal design solutions that enhance user experience across platforms.
  7. Collaborate with external agencies to drive excellence in fast-paced, high-impact creative projects.

The ideal candidate has:

  1. 10+ years of experience in creative roles, with a focus on producing standout work for global brands.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  3. Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Frontify.
  4. Expertise in video production, web design, and UX/UI principles.
  5. Strong conceptual and strategic design development skills.
  6. Demonstrated expertise in conceptual and strategically-led design development.
  7. Exceptional ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  8. In-depth understanding of brand strategy and its influence on creative development and perception.

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $165,750-$204,750. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time. If you live in one of the following areas or if you work in a Cboe office in the following areas, the range may be higher according to the geographic differentials listed below:

US Geographic Differentials:

  • 110%: Austin TX, Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA
  • 115%: Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA
  • 120%: Boston MA, Washington DC
  • 125%: New York City NY
  • 130%: San Francisco CA

Within the range, individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, our total rewards program includes an annual variable pay program and benefits including healthcare (medical, dental and vision), 401 (k) with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, paid time off, market-leading tuition assistance, and much more!
