Job Purpose
We’re looking for a tech savvy Creative Director to lead always-on organic social for a new account. This person will have a strong copywriting and art direction background, and be comfortable driving work forward for an innovative, social media platform. Always-on organic content has always been an integral part of our business, and as our client list and our team continues to grow, we’re eager to bring on a leader who can help elevate the quality and creativity of our offering.
This CD will lead with great ideas — big ideas and small ideas that cut through the crowded social media landscape. They’ll have a bold POV on what makes for great organic content and they’ll work daily with creative, strategy, design, motion, editing, and tech teams to achieve that vision. They’ll be equally comfortable overseeing projects and getting hands-on to deliver the best work, as this role will require the CD to be the conceptual lead on all campaigns outside the always-on workstream.
We believe cultural relevance is essential to successful organic content. This CD should have a keen eye for trends on social and behaviors that drive them. They must live and breathe social and stay up to date on best practices, new platform features, and emerging platforms in the industry. They must also have experience working with brands to navigate this ever-changing landscape, whether that means jumping on trends or creating their own.
There is also a huge strategic element to this role — this CD will contribute to long-term content strategies for existing and potential clients. As part of this, they’ll have points of view on the roles of established and emerging social platforms in always-on brand building, and will partner with a Social Strategist to lead conversations with clients.
While guiding monthly creative for a social media/tech brand will be the primary focus of this role, it will also include leading a handful of other accounts, as well as being a key player in new business pitches.
This CD will manage several direct reports, so should be a seasoned manager. They will report into our Executive Creative Director.
