Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook in Richmond, VA to bring recipes to life with fresh ingredients and diverse cooking styles. Work within production guidelines and safety procedures while exploring new flavors and techniques.

You will be part of LifeWorks, the premier division of business dining, with a Monday–Friday schedule and benefits including medical, vision, dental, PTO and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and cooking methods.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and trimming.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use various cooking methods.
• Plate and garnish food per established guidelines.
• Store food per safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor.
• Follow Aramark safety policies and protect assets.
