Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food prep principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations (handling, sanitation, storage).
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to recipes and guidelines.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses knives and utensils; operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses multiple cooking methods.
• Seasonal presentation and portioning according to guidelines.
• Stores food per safety policies; cleans and sanitizes areas and tools.
• Maintains friendly customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and staff.
