Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team. You will help bring recipes to life, prepare a variety of foods, and experiment with flavors while following production guidelines and safety procedures.

In this role, you will set up stations, measure ingredients, operate ovens and mixers, and maintain clean, safe work areas. A strong customer-service mindset and ability to work with others are essential. Benefits vary by location.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely use utensils including knives
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines
• Properly store food adhering to safety policies
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests, customers, coworkers, etc.
• Adheres to safety policies including sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
