Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Validated knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as sanitation and storage.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses utensils including knives and operates ovens, stoves, slicers and mixers.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams and uses various cooking methods.
• Maintains cleanliness and food safety, stores food properly, and ensures security of assets.
