Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team in a facility setting. You will cook and prepare a variety of foods according to recipes, set up stations with ingredients and equipment, and measure, weigh, mix, chop, and portion items.

You will also operate ovens, stoves, and mixers, apply different cooking methods, and ensure proper storage and sanitation. A positive demeanor with guests and coworkers is essential, and you must be able to obtain food safety certification.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety knowledge.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items.
• Safely use utensils including knives; operate ovens, stoves, and mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use diverse cooking methods.
• Portion and garnish food according to guidelines.
• Store food per safety policies; clean and sanitize areas and utensils.
• Maintain friendly service attitude toward guests and coworkers.
