Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Cook to join our team. You will cook and prepare a variety of foods according to standardized recipes, set up workstations, measure and prepare ingredients, and operate kitchen equipment while adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities include following production guidelines, maintaining clean and organized areas, and delivering excellent service to guests and clients in a correctional facility setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Measures, weighs, mixes, chops, trims, and peels food items.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses diverse cooking methods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food per safety policies.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
• Maintains good customer service and demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, co-workers.
