Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Cook to join our team in a hands-on kitchen role. You will prepare a variety of dishes, follow production guidelines, and use multiple cooking methods to craft flavorful meals. You will also ensure safety practices and maintain a clean, organized workstation while delivering great guest interactions.

The role emphasizes creativity with recipes, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with team members to meet high standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives and operate ovens, stoves, and mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use different cooking methods for meat and vegetables.
• Portion and garnish foods according to guidelines and store per safety policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
