Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper handling, sanitation, and storage.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely operates a variety of utensils and equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses multiple cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food per guidelines and safety policies.
• Stores food properly following safety and sanitation procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment; maintains good guest relations and service.
• Adheres to safety policies and protects company assets.
