Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling.
• Safely uses utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, steams, and uses various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food following safety and sanitation policies.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and co-workers.
