Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and safety.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and peeling.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various methods on meats, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food following safety policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and security of assets.
