Responsibilities include setting up stations, measuring ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and ensuring safe storage and handling of foods. Prior experience as a cook is preferred, with a requirement to pursue food safety certification as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation methods and safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to guidelines and recipes.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mincing, and peeling.
• Safely uses various utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers and other equipment.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams using multiple cooking methods.
• Garnishes, portions food according to guidelines.
• Stores food according to safety policies and sanitizes areas.
