Food City in Dalton, AR is hiring for a Food Service Associate. You will greet customers, provide friendly service, and assist in decorating cakes and pastries. The role includes maintaining displays, taking cake orders, and staying flexible to support multiple areas.

The ideal candidate is 18+, with or without food service experience, and able to meet physical demands. On-site shifts and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!”
• Maintain a positive attitude; create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
• Greet and engage customers with a customer first initiative, providing prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
• Prepare and produce “Quality” food & products to meet or exceed customer expectations
• Decorate specialty cakes, including use of photo cake computer
• Decorate cupcakes and cookies
• Maintain cookie and cake cases
• Take telephone orders for food and specialty cakes
• Maintain display areas and keep workstations tidy
• Cross-train across multiple areas with varying responsibilities
