Job summary

Sullivan Park Care Center in Spokane Valley, WA is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative, interactive activities program. You will help plan and conduct individual and group activities, coordinate calendars, and ensure programs meet residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs.

This role emphasizes communication across all levels, aiding transport arrangements, discharge planning, and activity documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in communication between employees, residents, families and public.
• Develop monthly activity calendar and maintain attendance records.
• Assist in discharge planning and activity care plans.
• Arrange transportation for residents when needed.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and reading activities.
