Job summary

TLC Nursing Center in Oneonta is seeking a dynamic Activities Director to lead our activities program and enhance residents' quality of life. You will plan and coordinate a wide range of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities in collaboration with residents, families, and staff.

You will oversee daily operations, maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning to create a positive and enriching environment for our residents.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating activities for seniors.
• Ability to lead staff and volunteers.
• Strong collaboration with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Create a diverse activities calendar promoting socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation.
• Lead and supervise activity staff and volunteers to ensure successful implementation of activities.
• Coordinate individualized activity plans based on resident preferences, needs and abilities.
• Maintain accurate records of participation, resident preferences, and program outcomes to track progress and evaluate effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies related to activities programming and resident engagement.
