Job summary

The Highlands of Owasso is seeking an energetic and compassionate Activities Director to lead our activity program and enrich residents' lives through meaningful, person-centered activities.

The role emphasizes relationship building, creative programming, and collaboration with all departments; CNA certification is required, Activity Director cert preferred, and training is available.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, positive personality and compassionate approach to residents.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities for cross-department work.
• Ability to lead group activities and motivate resident participation.
• Experience in long-term care or senior living is preferred; certification training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan and evaluate the activity program to meet resident needs and interests.
• Create engaging recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Develop individualized programming reflecting residents' preferences and goals.
• Coordinate community outreach and partnerships to enhance programming.
• Collaborate with all departments to integrate activities into daily care.
• Complete documentation, calendars, assessments, and reports accurately.
• Review policies and update procedures as needed.
• Stay current with regulations and professional standards for LTC activities.
• Maintain departmental compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assist with budgeting and staffing for the Activities Department.
• Provide reports and recommendations to the Administrator on operations and growth.
• Lead the Activities Department and oversee daily operations.
