Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience in dairy processing, food manufacturing, food service operations, or related environment.
• Experience supervising employees, including scheduling staff and monitoring performance.
• Experience maintaining food safety, sanitation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance standards in a food production setting.
• Experience working with HACCP plans, preventive controls programs, or similar systems.
• Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and supply ordering.
• Experience monitoring budgets, costs, inventory usage, and production metrics.
• Experience overseeing maintenance, repair, and safe operation of processing equipment.
• Current ServSafe Manager Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees daily Creamery operations, including production of ice cream, cheese, and other dairy products.
• Supervises two full-time employees and student staff, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance reviews.
• Develops production schedules to ensure inventory availability and product quality.
• Creates and oversees development of new ice cream and dairy products, including seasonal offerings.
• Ensures safe, sanitary operations and compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP/PCQI requirements.
• Oversees food safety programs, sanitation, and regulatory compliance; liaises with inspectors as needed.
• Maintains procedures, documentation, records, and corrective actions for safety and compliance.
• Oversees purchasing, receiving, inventory, and budgeting in collaboration with fiscal staff.
• Tracks production output, inventory usage, and operational metrics; prepares related reports.
• Identifies opportunities for new products, efficiency, and customer engagement.
