U.S. Bank is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Underwriting Manager to lead a team of CRE underwriters, ensuring credit quality and adherence to underwriting standards.

The role interfaces with Relationship Management, Credit, and Loan Administration to ensure timely, policy-aligned credit actions. The position combines hands-on credit leadership with people management and HR responsibilities, supporting staff development while upholding in-office policies and regulatory requirements across CRE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Eight or more years of commercial banking/lending experience.
• Two or more years of management experience in a commercial credit environment.
• 8+ years of CRE lending experience with underwriting, credit approvals, and portfolio management.
• 3+ years of team leadership/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of Commercial Real Estate underwriters, including performance management and coaching.
• Set expectations and service-level standards; allocate resources.
• Foster a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
• Provide training, feedback, and career development support; act as player-coach.
• Partner with Relationship Management, Credit Risk, Loan Administration and other stakeholders to drive policy-aligned credit packages.
• Oversee quality execution of core deliverables, including new transaction underwriting and portfolio reviews.
• Maintain high credit quality standards and oversee credit execution and audit support.
