Job summary

United Community is seeking a Commercial RE Portfolio Specialist to support credit administration and underwriting for a diverse loan portfolio. You will work closely with corporate banking RMs to manage annual reviews, monitor covenants, analyze financial statements, and prepare credit packages for approval.

The role requires 4-year finance/accounting education and 5–7 years of credit analysis/underwriting experience. Strong communication skills and knowledge of loan documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year business degree with concentration in finance and/or accounting preferred.
• 5-7 years of work experience in credit analysis and underwriting preferred.
• Experience as a lender/relationship manager preferred.
• Must possess a proficient knowledge of credit policy and loan documentation issues.
• Must be able to spread, analyze, and interpret financial statements.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must allocate time effectively and prioritize work to meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Work with corporate banking RMs to manage all aspects of the loan portfolio including annual reviews, past dues, monitoring, and covenant compliance.
• Assist in all loan process aspects including joint calling, underwriting and credit package preparation.
• Serve as secondary contact on client relationships.
• Review loan documents and ensure accuracy.
• Carefully spread and analyze financial statements.
• Prepare credit analysis packages and present through credit approval chain.
• Conduct preliminary research and make recommendations to address risks.
• Interact with senior executives in senior credit committee.
