Job summary

Northmarq in Chicago seeks an Investment Analyst to support the Production (Debt/Equity) team with underwriting, loan packaging, and due diligence. The role requires applying financial modeling and market research to generate reliable analyses and reports for closing and servicing.

The candidate will interact with borrowers and lenders, managing documents, reports, and timelines to ensure smooth transactions.

Qualifications

1–3 years of full-time CRE experience with financial modeling and analysis.
Four-year degree in real estate, finance, accounting or business.
Strong cash flow analysis skills (NOI, DSC, IRR, etc.).
Excellent verbal communication for internal/external partners.
Proficient with MS Office; knowledge of Salesforce, ARGUS or InDesign is a plus.

Responsibilities

Organize/time manage workload including research, underwriting, loan packaging, and closing.
Underwrite CRE properties based on financials to determine projected income and value.
Prepare loan request packages with narrative analyses and supporting data.
Conduct borrower/property/market research using third-party and internal sources.
Support closing through due diligence review and communications with stakeholders.
Perform servicing tasks including investor portfolio analysis and lease reviews.
Provide best-in-class client service to investors, borrowers, and teams.
