Job summary

East West Bank is seeking an Analyst to support the CRE team with underwriting, credit approvals, documentation, and monitoring of commercial banking relationships in the Houston area. The role involves analysis of financial statements, covenant compliance, and collaboration with Portfolio Managers.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or related experience, 1-3 years in commercial credit or accounting, and strong communication skills. Visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and directly related experience.
• Experience in Commercial Credit and/or accounting is preferred.
• CRE knowledge including analyzing tax returns and financials is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptability to bank tech platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a team setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor transaction performance and covenant compliance.
• Assist Portfolio Managers in underwriting Project/Structured Finance deals.
• Support loan execution, credit submissions, closings and servicing.
• Coordinate with servicers, custodians, examiners, attorneys, and others.
• Help prepare loan memos for new loans, amendments, renewals and waivers.
• Ensure portfolio administration complies with policy and regulatory rules.
• Assist with due diligence for new client relationships and memos.
• Respond promptly to borrower requests and assist with special projects.
