Job summary

Associated Bank in St. Louis, MO is seeking a 2027 Credit Analyst Trainee - CRE to support the Commercial Real Estate team with financial analysis, cash flow analysis, and portfolio management.

The program runs five months and begins May 24, 2027, with mentorship and cross-functional collaboration across markets. You will work alongside Relationship and Portfolio Managers, gaining exposure to credit underwriting and diverse markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/finance/economics or related field.
• Internship experience with banks or financial institutions preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Exposure to financial and credit analysis concepts is a plus.
• Experience with financial and cash flow analysis.

Responsibilities

• Learn Associated's credit approach and underwriting process.
• Analyze and underwrite existing and new credit transactions.
• Support lending cycle and banking product knowledge for clients.
• Assist in developing financial solutions based on capital structure needs.
• Understand relationship banking value proposition.
