Job summary

Bellwether is seeking a Closing Team Associate to manage the end‑to‑end closing of CRE debt and equity investments, partnering with Real Estate originations, legal, asset management, and treasury. The role emphasizes due diligence, documentation, and cross‑functional coordination.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years closing CRE transactions, with experience coordinating title, appraisal, environmental, and tax diligence, plus strong budgeting and cash management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years closing CRE debt/equity transactions preferred.
• Experience coordinating third‑party diligence providers including title/survey, appraisal, environmental, and insurance.
• Financial fluency to build and reconcile budgets, sources/uses, and settlement statements.
• Client‑facing experience with sponsors, borrowers, counsel, and consultants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the closing process from start to finish after a term sheet is signed.
• Maintain due diligence checklists and track ownership, status, notes, and document location.
• Coordinate third‑party engagements and review deliverables with origination team.
• Negotiate and embed reporting, conditions, and binding terms in documentation.
• Assist with post‑closing transitions and cash flow models.
