Southern States LLC is seeking a Crater Packer 5 for the 2nd shift (3:30pm-11pm) to fabricate wooden crates and pack machinery or large items. The role emphasizes reading blueprints, measuring layouts, and operating band and table saws while maintaining a clean, safe work area and following instructions precisely.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, shipping notices, and specs to determine materials and quantities.
• Uses rulers and measuring tools to lay out dimensions.
• Wollows safety procedures and keeps a clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and shipping notices to determine materials and quantities.
• Lays out dimensions on materials with ruler and measuring tape.
• Sets up and operates band saw, table saw and/or cut off saw.
• Saws wood and metal materials to size and assembles crates.
• Builds crates around large or odd-shaped items and attaches labels.
